Carl Fischer is one of the most "seen trumpeters on the scene" today.  Carl is currently touring with Billy Joel and is seen and heard by millions each year.  Carl's past playing credits include ten years with Maynard Ferguson, Touring or performing with Blood, Sweat, and Tears, The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, numerous big names (just do a search or the internet), and he also fronts his own group, Organic Groove.

Carl's musical demands are many; from screaming the lead book to laying down a thick flugel line.  GR has designed an exciting set of mouthpieces that accomplish these tasks.

Perhaps the most unique feature of the Fischer Mouthpieces is the rim contour.  With a very soft bite, this smaller diameter cup actually feels wider than measured.  Carl equates the feel to the GR 66 series diameter, or a conventional 3 diameter.

The rim is flat with a soft bite and a very high alpha angle. The highpoint is towards the outside and the bite is very soft. This combination makes the inside diameter feel larger than it actually is. The cup has a smaller volume and the throat entrance is large with very open playing characteristics.

Available in three configurations:

CF "Z" - Carl's Lead Piece, CF "Jazz" - All around work, CF "DWB" Flugelhorn - Thick and dark with brilliance.

The Carl Fischer Signature Jazz Model Mouthpiece is a collaboration between Carl Fischer and Gary Radtke of GR Technologies. This mouthpiece is designed to produce a huge fat sound full of overtones with an optimum amount of trumpet brilliance. This versatile mouthpiece is ideal for all around use.

This mouthpiece has the large #3 GR Backbore. This mouthpiece allows the player to play with a big fat sound from the extreme low register to the extreme upper register. It also allows for easy note bending and the ability to shade and color the sound. The flat wider rim gives great endurance and comfort.

The Carl Fischer Z Model Mouthpiece has a flat rim with a soft bite and a very high alpha angle.  The highpoint is towards the outside and the bite is very soft.  This combination makes the inside diameter feel larger than it actually is.  The cup has a smaller volume and the throat is designed for high compression with a huge fat sound.

This mouthpiece has the #1 GR Backbore.  This mouthpiece allows the player to play with a big fat sound from the extreme low register to the extreme upper register.  It also allows for easy note bending  and the ability to shade and color the sound.  The flat wider rim gives great endurance and comfort.

This model is a fantastic match to the Carl Fischer Jazz Model
