Zan Waller
I have played Lead in pop/jazz groups for both the Navy
and the Army.
Between the Navy and Army I worked for Royal Caribbean, but the pay and benefits of the Military couldn't be beat (this is real important when you have a family!).
The military program (music) is a great gig, you can't be beat it:
I have traveled the WORLD (not just to Iraq ... ha ha...).
-While stationed in Germany, I toured all over Europe.
-While stationed in Japan, toured all over Asia.
-Performed in China (that was somth'n else)
-Toured Australia (spent over a month traveling and performing there that
was great!!!)
-Performed at the Salt Lake winter Olympics
-Performed for 2 Presidents , and countless dignitaries both US and foreign
I can not say enough about all the chances to do cool stuff I have had
because of this job! Don't think I am full of propaganda there have been
not so cool gigs and times too, but in realty WOW.
I would not hesitate to point a musician toward this program.

Rob's Horn / Mouthpiece combinations are: Yamaha "Chicago" Artist Model C trumpet with a GR 67C** Mouthpiece. Yamaha "Vizzutti" Artist Model Bb trumpet with a GR 67C* Mouthpiece. "After years of playing huge, inefficient mouthpieces to try to get the sound I want I am thrilled by my set of GRs. I have more projection, more range, and more stamina, with the ability to produce whatever tone color I want." Rob Frear - L.A. Recording Artist GR "Vintage" Series Trumpet Mouthpieces Gary has started production on reverse engineered versions of cherished "Vintage" no longer in production trumpet mouthpieces. These designs closely follow the original designs but have been improved using the GR Design Program to remove discontinuities. |
